Hulu’s doing a series of 30 scary stand-alone short films throughout the month of October for ‘Bite Size Halloween’ to shine a light on new and upcoming filmmakers and just yesterday we already saw two with incredible potential. First, we watched ‘Visible’ about a young woman who was invisible to other people on a basketball court and leaving messages on a bench.

Now, we have ‘Reborn’, a terrifying two-minute horror short about a battle seemingly between good and evil. Watch the short below that was uploaded with the following description,

“From 20th Digital Studio, Bite-Size Halloween is a series of 30 spooky stand-alone shorts ranging from the terrifying to the ridiculous. These short films explore different areas of the horror genre and provide a platform for exciting up-and-coming filmmakers. Watch the full series “now screaming” on Hulu. A spunky teenager dreads going through her baptism ceremony at a Southern Black church. Written/Directed by Alexandria Collins; Featuring Taliyah Simone & KJ Rasheed.”

Wow, there’s a lot to unpackage here, and we want this to be a full feature film! So, when the girl goes into the water, a black cloud surrounds her, and when she returns her eyes go completely white. Meanwhile, the pastor walks up to her and she says, “I’ve been waiting for you” before his eyes turn black and he holds up a cross.

It can be argued either way I think that the girl was an angel or a demon, but we may never know! I love that it kind of leaves it up to us.

What do you think? Was the little girl an angel or demon? Let us know in the comments below.
