So much for being everyone’s best friend. There’s a new report that suggests Ellen DeGeneres’ A-List pals are all distancing themselves amid her new show’s investigation. The Ellen DeGeneres Show workplace is reportedly under investigation by WarnerMedia after several complaints have been made by the behind-the-scenes crew. Here’s what you need to know. Unfortunately for Ellen, no one is standing up to defend her good name.
According to a new report, executives from the show producer Telepictures and distributor Warner Bros. Television sent a memo to their staff last week saying that they have are currently working with an employee relations group and a third party firm who will interview both current and past employers about some of their experience while working on the set.

And now a lot of her fans and critics can’t help but wonder the same thing: where are all of her Hollywood friends and why aren’t they sticking up for her? Even though she has been surrounded by A-listers like Jennifer Aniston, Sofia Vergara, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and more for years, none of them have been quick to come to her aid.
A source told The Sun: “Ellen has gained a reputation as a friend to the stars, but A-listers would have to take great risks to publicly defend the show.”
“The explosion of the #MeToo movement has really shone a light on workplace conduct in Holly- wood. Studios are under pressure to change the culture,” the source said.
This comes after a comedian took to his Twitter account to brand the talk show host as one of the meanest people alive. Many people who have worked for her in the past then began sharing their stories about her. Some responses included an allegations from TV writer Benjamin Siemon, who said, “she has a ‘sensitive nose’, so everyone must chew gum from a bowl outside her office before talking to her, and if she thinks you smell you have to go home and shower.”
