Hollywood actor James Van Der Beek is absolutely loving his new family life in Texas. The handsome television star recently took to his Instagram account to explain why he and his wife Kimberly decided to pack their bags and move their family from L.A. for a better life in Texas. Now that they are there, the actor says that he certainly doesn’t have any regrets about their decision to move. Here’s what he has to say.

“And… we’ve landed,” he began in the caption before launching into a list of trials and tribulations he’s faced over the last several months.

“In the last ten months, we’ve had two late-term pregnancy losses, each of which put @vanderkimberly in the hospital, we spent Christmas break thinking she had a tumor (the doctor was wrong, thank god), a business colleague I hired hijacked the project and stabbed me in the back, I was prematurely booted off a reality dancing show I was favored to win in front of the whole world, and my mom died,” he recalled. “And a shut-down.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for his fans and followers to comment on his post. Quite a few of them said, “Texas will take good care of you. You won’t regret this decision,” along with, “Thank you for sharing this journey with your fans. Welcome to Texas to my new fellow Texans. I hope you enjoy living in Texas. I have been living in Texas my whole life and I love it.”

Another fan wrote, “I absolutely find you and your family the epitome of positivity even when faced with hardship. I am a mother of three and have been married to my best friend for 12 years. I wish you all the love, joy, and giggles that the universe has to offer. Life can be overwhelmingly hard but one thing I’ve learned, and you’re living, is that the best that life has to offer is sometimes the humans that surround you daily. Thank you for your posts and all the positivity you spread.”
