Heather Rae Young has opened up on how she is coping with her husband Tarek El Moussa’s co-parenting arrangements with his ex-wife Christina Haack.

Christina and Tarek decided to split up in 2016 after deciding that they could not iron out their differences. During this time together, they managed to raise two children: Taylor and Brayden.
But now, the pair have moved on with new partners: Tarek has ended up with Heather, while Christina has hooked up with Joshua Hall. And everyone involved has made sure that none of the people interfere in the well being of the kids.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Heather said: “The most important thing is the kids [are] always No. 1. We really focus on the kids’ happiness [and] health at our house. We just focus on the kids at ours.”
This is understandable for several reasons. First of all, Christina has another child with her ex Ant Anstead. Therefore, she has co-parenting arrangements with him too.
And by having a good support network around them, Heather has managed to avoid stepping on the toes of Christina, much to the benefit of everyone involved.
She added: “We communicate daily about the kids, and they’re the most important thing in the world to all of us. So, as long as the kids are happy, we’re all happy.”
And in keeping with that, the children have a lot to look forward to when it comes to Heather’s wedding with Tarek. The pair had decided to get engaged this year, and plans have already been made to make sure that the children are at the heart of the preparations.
She continued: “The kids are going to be very involved. Taylor, she’s kind of doing whatever she wants. I told her she can have any position she wants. She can be head bridesmaid. She can be the flower girl. She can be maid of honour.” It is wonderful to see the whole family unit staying strong by working together. It is not often that ex-partners remain on good terms, but when it does happen, it should be applauded.
