USA Striker Ricardo Pepi Pictured Pole Dancing In A Holland Shirt Following The Country' World Cup Exit

It appeared that Ricardo Pepi was the one that lost a wager during the weekend following the USA’s 3-1 loss to Holland in the World Cup. And as the loser, the 19-year-old was required to pay the price.

Videos that have been shared on various social media platforms portraying the footballer donning a Netherlands jersey while people in the vicinity can be heard applauding and yelling out his nickname “Pepi!”.

Not only that, but the circumstances surrounding the wearing of the T-shirt were bizarre. In the image here, we can see Pepi putting his hands on a pole as though he is getting ready to pole dance.

He does have a massive grin on his face, even though it is clear that he has been left embarrassed by the situation.  That is why numerous responses to the video suggested that Pepi had lost a bet.

Aside from that, coach Gregg Berhalter was the one to make the unexpected decision to exclude the 19-year-old, Pepi, from the USA team. Despite the fact that Pepi was excluded from the World Cup, he has been in excellent shape for his club team.

After joining the Dutch team of Groningen on a loan from Augsburg of Germany, Pepi has netted six goals in nine matches. When speaking about that, this is what Pepi had to say: “Disappointing because I felt like I gave myself the best opportunities to be in the World Cup roster.

“I felt like I had a chance, but also not disappointing at the same time because, like I said, I did my thing.” The fans on social media could not help but troll the striker. And in the process of doing so, the comments were ridiculing in nature.

One person wrote: “They’re out. Maybe he’s rooting for Holland now,” while another person stated: “Boyfriend plays on the teak.” It is fair to say that this was not  Pepi’s finest look.
