HBO Max’s ‘Superintelligence’ stars Melissa McCarthy and James Corden in a new “Thanksgiving movie” where the most average person on the planet (McCarthy) is chosen to be studied by the most powerful AI ever (Corden). It sounds a bit odd, and the trailer looks stranger but entertaining at the same time.
In the film, McCarthy will be tasked with saving the world. She has three days, and if the AI isn’t impressed, he’ll blow up the planet. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Viewers commented on the trailer, and there seems to be a bit of a mixed reaction. There’s some who are excited, while others seem a bit restrained. “Plot twist, the world doesn’t end.”, “Melissa, just get us “Spy 2″, please.”, “HBO should have renewed “The Outsider” instead.”, “Wow this chic does not want her career anymore… Kind of awe-inspiring watching her make the worst decisions for roles since??? Never a better example of jumping out of one dumpster fire, to find a better dumpster fire.” and “As soon as I heard James Corden’s voice, I’m out. HE’S NOT FUNNY!!!!”.
There’s a lot going on with the film, and it looks like it could swing either way. We’ll have to check it out when it releases to know for sure though.
HBO Max’s ‘Superintelligence’ premieres on November 26.
