Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, celebrated her 44th birthday yesterday.  Her adoring husband, Mike Tindall, posted a happy birthday message to his wife on Instagram.

The Name Zara Means “Bright As Dawn” OR “Radiant” In Greek

The former professional rugby player shared a cute photo of Zara and himself gazing into each other’s eyes at the Belfry Hotel and resort following a Celebrity Golf Classic Event last year.

In the caption, he wrote a very special message,

“Happy Birthday to the better Tindall. She even let me play golf on her birthday!”

He was referring to this year’s edition of the charity golf event in Sutton Coldfield, as the event usually falls on her birthday.

In the particularly fetching snap, Zara was wearing a gorgeous fuchsia colored wide leg jumpsuit with a keyhole design in the chest. Zara always looks so well put together.

Zara was born as Zara Anne Elizabeth Phillips on May 15, 1981, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. The name Zara means “bright as dawn” or radiant in Greek.

She is the daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips. She’s the oldest granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Zara met Mike at Manly Wharf bar in 2003 in Australia when he was a rugby player for the England national team. He was depressed and drowning his sorrows for being dropped from the semi-finals.

The couple wed in July 2011 in a low-key ceremony at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland. According to royal family legend, the party afterward was no “prim and proper” affair.

The royal couple is known to love a good “tipple,” and as a tribute to the way Zara and Mike met, instead of the traditional chocolate fountain at their wedding reception, they opted for a vodka fountain, which made for a very fun night.

Zara Won A Silver Medal At The 2012 Summer Olympics

Mike and Zara share three children: their two daughters, Mia and Lena, and their son Lucas. Zara is also the godmother of William and Kate’s son, Prince George.

She is a very accomplished equestrian and takes after her mother, Princess Anne. Zara won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics as part of the Great Britain Eventing team. The prize was presented to her by her mother.

She’s also won multiple trophies, including individual and team golds at the European Championships and World Equestrian Games.

Zara participated in an equestrian trial last weekend, and her family showed up to support her at the MARS Badminton Horse Trials.

In addition to her love of horses and equestrian sports, Zara is also dedicated to numerous charities and causes.

She contributes to aiding spinal injury research, equestrianism, and children’s causes. Zara has also taken part in charities whose goal is to improve the lives of those with special needs and cancer.

This morning, Mike shared another snap of him and his wife as they were enjoying a substantial breakfast of eggs, sausages, and beans.

In the caption of the photo, Mike wrote that his wife was his “motivational advisor” who was giving him some pointers before tee-off. They spent her birthday playing on the golf course.

Zara is a royal, an equestrian, and an Olympic medal winner. Zara has added much positivity and sportsmanship to her British royal heritage.
