Several months after the popular singer Britney Spears voiced her grievance that her estranged mother, Lynne Spears, had been keeping her away from caffeine during her 13-year conservatorship, she issued an invitation to her mother to join her for a cup of coffee.
Half-Naked Britney Spears Invites Her Mom For Coffee Despite Previously Telling Her To ‘Go F–k Yourself’
Previously, Britney had made an accusation of ‘abuse’ against her mother in a lengthy post on Instagram. Consequently, it’s hard to tell if the vocalist, who had regularly expressed anger towards her mom on social media, was being sarcastic or actually trying to make peace.
In the picture here, we can see Britney looking into the distance, as she is half naked. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Instagram doesn’t like posts of people revealing their bodies anymore so here’s a selfie of me in Mexico.
“Mom and Dad … I crossed the border and I made it !!! After no coffee for 15 years… Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it.”
Britney’s statement was made after her mother, Lynne, expressed remorse for the hurt that the conservatorship brought. And as part of that process, Lynne was desperate to have a conversation with her daughter.
That did not go down very well, as Britney let her know in no uncertain terms that she was not going to stand for any of this. In her comments, Britney said: “Not one mother f–king person stood up for me. Mom take your apology and go f–k yourself.”
The fans on social media were hoping that the two could reconcile. This was on the basis that the upcoming festivities provided a perfect opportunity for the whole family to unite.
One person wrote: “I hope they can get together over the holidays and just settle things down between them. A parent and child relationship is hard…A mom and daughter should be together if possible.”
