Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is back! He’s broken his silence about his return saying that he’s “very excited to be back” and shut down several rumors about wanting to be traded. He tweeted out the news that he will be playing with the Packers next year.

“Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up. YES I will be playing with the @packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I ‘signed.'”

Aaron Rodgers friend, Pat McAfee announced that while the 38-year-old seriously considered retirement he ultimately chose to return and reports say that the 4-year $200 million contract is “not accurate”. While several outlets have given us that number, Rodgers and McAfee didn’t elaborate on what the new deal actually is.

Rodgers has been feuding with the Green Bay Packers since before the 2021 season as he was upset over carious personnel moves and many felt it would be his final year. However, in recent months Rodgers has seemed to be much happier and coming off his second straight MVP award, it looks like he has no reason to stop.

There are a few other things that may account for his decision as well, as star receiver Davanate Adams may return as well, and his relationship with Shailene Woodley still remains questionable. Could they have broken up because of his decision to keep playing? I’m sure the rumors will continue to fly, but for now, get ready to see a soon-to-be 40s’ Rodger slinging some footballs around.
