‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that there are several possible targets of the shooting at the Metro Court Pool. However, the only one who most assuredly wasn’t the target was the one who got shot. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is fighting for his life after a ricochet bullet was lodged near his spine. It is pretty apparent that he wasn’t the target, but who was?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Was It Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)?
The media recently outed GH’s Anna Devane as a former double agent. After that news hits the media circuit, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) discovered that her house was vandalized. Someone spray painted the word “Murderer” across her front door.
While Anna brushes it off as the antics of young hoodlums, Valentin has a lot more concern. He is afraid to leave Anna alone. Valentin is headed out on a trip to Chechnya with Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) but feels that Anna is not safe. He thinks she should take the threat seriously.
Maybe she should have, if shots are ringing out across the courtyard at the Metro Court Pool. She could have been the target, because as a double agent, she most assuredly betrayed people and did some questionable things. Do you think Anna was the target of this assassination attempt?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Was It Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?
GH’s Sonny Corinthos has quite a few enemies. He has connections to organized crime and he has deals that put him in a great deal of danger. He has been the target of other criminals and the federal government. Sonny always has to look over his shoulder and he definitely could have been the intended target.
When his fiancé, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) makes it to the Hotel and is overjoyed to find out he is okay, she says something telling. She wonders if the sniper was trying to “finish what they started”.
This is an indication that Sonny really has already felt concern for his safety. Even law enforcement believe that he was probably the intended target.
What do you think? Who was the intended target of the hit? While they have been looking for some evidence, it appears that the sniper got away. Will they be able to find any witnesses and learn what it was all about, or will they never know who shot Curtis Alford?
