‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Nathan Dean, who plays Ethan Lovett on GH, has announced he’s expecting baby number three. The couple shared the happy news most adorably.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dean Posed for a Picture that Clearly Showed Dean’s Wife, Kate’s Cravings
The returning GH star posted a photo on Instagram of two Taco Bell mild sauce packets labeled
“Play it cool” and “It’s a secret.”
Dean shared his secret with his fans, declaring that he and his wife, Kate, were expecting another child. In the picture, the actor is proudly holding a sonogram photo.
He is also wearing a baseball hat that says,
“Dad.” His wife, Kate, is wearing a t-shirt that says, “The One Where Everyone Finds Out You’re Pregnant.”
The happy couple showed everyone what Kate was craving during her pregnancy. They had posed for the picture, raising their Taco Bell drinks, and their Taco Bell food was on the table in front of them.
Dean wrote in the caption,
“We didn’t want to be cheesy, but we think this next chapter is going to be a Baja Blast! I’m so lucky and blessed to have this wonderful woman in my life. She made me whole. And I can’t wait to see where this journey goes.”
The message was followed by some colorful hashtags,
“#babydean,” “#from4to5,” “#babynumber3,” and “#tacobellcravings.”
Dean’s wife is more private, but on her personal Instagram, she wrote,
“Happy mom to an adorable little boy and a beautiful little girl.”
The comments on Dean’s Instagram included congratulatory wishes, and several of Dean’s former and future castmates wrote messages.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dean Is Returning to GH Sometime In April
Kristen Alderson, who played Starr Manning on One Life to Live and GH, wrote, “Aw, yay!” Claudio Cama, who is the widower of the actor’s GH father, Luke Spencer, played by the late Tony Geary, shared a popper emoji. Chris McKenna, who plays Jack Brennan on GH, and Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless, both liked the post.
According to Soap Opera Digest,
“Dean joined the GH cast in January 2009 and received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2012 for his role as Luke Spencer’s son, Ethan Lovett.”
“After leaving GH in March 2012, he made some brief stints on the soap in 2013, 2015, and 2020.”
Dean has also appeared in several other shows. Bunheads, True Blood, The Originals, Roswell, and New Mexico are among his impressive list of TV credits.
Ethan Lovett is the son of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Luke Spencer. He is also the half-brother of Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning).
Holly has kept his paternity a secret to protect himself from Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). The storyline surrounding his true parentage was all over the place.
Interestingly, Dean had initially auditioned for the role of another secret son, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LiCisero) child, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) in 2008.
The news of Dean’s upcoming return to GH as Ethan Lovett was announced on March 5th. At the time, he wrote on Instagram,
“So excited to be back, I can’t wait to see some familiar friends and enemies and make some new ones along the way.”
