‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers say that those who were hoping to see a more stable and maybe even happy new year, they might want to think again.
The situation of course isn’t going to be any different for our favorite characters in this fictional town of Port Charles and especially for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who are both going to be dealing with a lot of challenges and hardships in the coming weeks. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the soap’s co-head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor tease what’s next for Sonny and Carly.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Here’s What’s In Store For Carly And Sonny In 2021
They say, “The Corinthi keep vigil for Sonny, and the Corinthos family is rocked when the authorities give word of Sonny’s ultimate fate. Carly and Jason earn themselves a surprising enemy when they move against Cyrus.”
Of course, the Sonny and Carly are not the only ones dealing with Cyrus. As far as Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) and her future is concerned, O’Connor says, “She now knows she has more family out there in the form of Martin and Cyrus — and in the case of Cyrus, it’s probably a form of, ‘Be careful what you wish for.’ This connection to Cyrus could also prove to be his Achilles’ heel. Is there a possibility that Laura could pit brother against brother for her own ends?”
