‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggests that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is all about self-preservation. She acts impulsively without a lot of thought and then ends up with a big mess on her hands. When she tries to take care of it, things only get worse. She doesn’t end up endearing anyone to her after the fall out.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Emotional Mistake
Nina has a difficult relationship with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Instead of out-smarting Carly and making mature decisions, Nina often acts impulsively and emotionally.
She does not think through situations that she faces. Nina will then make decisions that she regrets or end up having to do more to cover up her initial poor choice.
GH’s Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is the biological child of Nina Reeves and Dr. Silas Clay (Michael Easton). She was illegally given up for adoption and did not even know Nina was her biological mother until recently.
It has been difficult for her to accept this news and to give Nina a chance as her mother. She hasn’t experienced Nina’s best and she has also been discouraged from having a relationship with Nina by her future mother-in-law, Carly. Willow is in a relationship with Carly’s son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
As Nina comes across opposition from Carly on her relationship with Willow, she reacts emotionally. Instead of being willing to work on this relationship in a positive way, she decides that she needs to get back at Carly in some way.
She makes an anonymous tip to the SEC that Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are involved in insider trading. While this is not a fabrication, it is causing a lot of pain. The police broke up Williow and Michael’s wedding to haul Carly in for questioning. Nina regrets her decision but can’t go back on it now.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Trying to Cover It Up
The tip that Nina made was anonymous, but everyone is trying to figure out who could have made the call. Many suspected that GH’s Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) was responsible. While Ned is assuring everyone he was not the one responsible, he ends up overhearing Nina talking with her attorney about tipping off the SEC.
He threatens her future with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) saying that Sonny will never stay in a relationship with her when he finds out that she ratted on his ex-wife Carly.
Ned hears that Drew is upstairs at the pool and he rushes off to spill the beans on Nina. She follows, running behind him. As he runs to the pool he trips, hits his head, and falls unconscious into the water. Drew pulls him out and begins CPR. Drew yells for someone to call 9-1-1.
Nina hasn’t been seen by anyone, but she is watching what happens. She pulls out the phone to call, but then thinks better of it, putting her phone back in her pocket. She willfully determined not to help Ned because he was going to tell on her.
