‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that the most capable father-and-son mafia team could soon protect Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the coffee business.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dex and Jason Could Find Each Other
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will return to GH on March 4th, and spoilers indicate he may not show up alone. Since Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came on the show, rumors have swirled about his true paternity.
While the spoilers point toward Dex’s father being Jason, it’s unclear how the scenario will play out. Dex may find Jason on his journey to wherever Sonny is preparing to hide him. Or Jason may have somehow discovered he had another son and set out to find him.
In a recent interview, Burton said that new head writers Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahey have a shocking story in the works. That story may involve Sonny’s disowned and disheartened right-hand man, Dex.
Like Jason, Dex started to understand and admire Sonny. While Dex’s skillset mainly comes from his army background, Jason always had the killer instinct to protect Sonny at all costs. Since Jason Quartermaine became Jason Morgan, his talent for keeping trouble at bay was infallible.
Dex had come to be very valuable to Sonny. He replaced Jason with Sonny as his father figure once Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) instructed him to protect the mafia boss.
This past year, Dex told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) what Sonny meant to him. He said that Sonny had taught him so much, and he never knew anybody in his life like him. Sonny may have brought Dex one step closer to the man who is his father.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dex’s True Paternity Will Be a Major Bombshell
If Dex is Jason’s son, that means that the abusive man whom Dex thought was his father has no relation to him.
Perhaps Dex’s mom had an affair with Jason years ago, and the result was Dex. Maybe the man Dex lived with all his life threatened to kill her if she left him.
So they stayed together, and he pretended that Dex was his son. Dex said his father and brothers were abusive to him. That’s why he left home right after graduation and enlisted in the army.
Jason, who had to have left the tunnel after it collapsed, is either being held hostage somewhere, or there is a good reason for why he has stayed away. It could be that Dex is the reason.
Jason and Dex may find each other, and when Jason brings Dex back to Port Charles and reveals that Dex is his son, it will be a major bombshell for Sonny and Joss.
The young man Sonny, shamefully sent away in exile, is his best friend’s son. And Jason will coax Sonny into letting Dex return to work for him.
It will be an adjustment for everyone at first. However, things will calm down, and Sonny will soften towards Dex again. It would also be great to see more emotion from Jason when he returns. Maybe Dex could bring out a side of Jason that we have rarely seen and be a good father to him.
