‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have mixed feeling on how things have taken a curious turn in Port Charles since the new writers took over, especially with the characters are taking a brunt of the changes.
While there’s always some changes to be expected during a change and even more during a possible soft reboot, some are so drastic they don’t make any sense.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was shoved into that void and in doing so his entire character has shifted as he’s sold his soul to make Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) happy.
This has a lot of cool storyline possibilities, but the fact it flies in the face of everything Dex is, er, was isn’t going to be easy to swallow for many of us.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Selling out Sonny and his family
In Dex’s bout of conscience that also seemed to affect Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), he managed to throw the entire Corinthos and Spencer family under the bus.
Except for Joss, because she wanted Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) punished for hurting her feelings since the start.
In one sit down with Anna, Dex betrayed everyone, including himself in a severe bout of conscience at being dumped.
Never mind he was going to leave Port Charles again and not look back, but when Joss dumped him that broke him.
There’s a chance there’s something deeper at work here, but ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers doesn’t see it. But then we didn’t expect such a huge character shift.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Everyone’s game
With everyone’s head on the chopping block should John Cates (Adam J, Harrington) ask to speak with him, Dex is set to betray Joss yet again.
Since he implicated Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) as well, if Jagger or Anna do go after Sonny and call on Dex, his failure will be increased exponentially.
Joss won’t be happy he brought her mom and brother into it, and Dex will claim he didn’t know what else he could do.
At this point, he’s just a meat puppet doing what he thinks Joss wants him to do, essentially becoming the spineless, honorless man she wished him to be.
Of course, given her current state of denial of ever knowing anything Sonny or his people did, Joss may finally have that nervous breakdown she’s been flirting with the last couple of years.
