‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been a fan of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) since we first saw him, and watching him come to terms with being in a wheelchair while still striving to walk again has been a great storyline.
Still, it feels like there’s so much untapped potential there as the show has a real chance to show he can be just as active as he was before.
There are so many success stories of people learning to overcome their handicap and play basketball, hockey, and more and Curtis is still in the early stages of dealing with his injury.
He’s come to terms with it and is moving around well and is even investigating who put him in the chair to exorcize that demon from his past, but now he has a chance to walk again.
But is it too soon storyline wise?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – More to grow
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers would love to see Curtis walk again, but we have to question the timing of Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) signing him up for the program storyline wise.
We love how she’s looking out for him and is trying to help him walk again, and we’re curious how the writers handle it going forward.
Like we mentioned above, there’s so much for him to explore yet and we’d love to see him grow more in his current situation.
For us, we’d think it’d be pretty wild if he was able to discover something other missed about the shooter and even had a physical hand in ending things.
Since everyone would overlook him being a threat since he’s in a wheelchair, it’d be the perfect moment for him to prove them wrong and help end things before heading off for the experimental treatment.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – A distraction?
There’s every chance that this is the writer’s attempt to keep him out of the line of fire, so to speak. If he’s too preoccupied on getting ready for the treatment, then he won’t be able to dig deeper and “get in the way” in some minds.
Of course, the timing on when his treatment will begin and how successful it’ll be is key, and if it’s not for a while he’ll still be able to do his investigation and maybe help turn the tables and get some justice for himself before it’s all said and done.
This could be a tall ask since there are so many moving parts that are investigating the shooting and other activities that have been happening, but we’ll have to hope the writers have a plan and it won’t be a cheap cop out.
Should the show build Curtis into being a wheelchair bound hero or focus on his recovery? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates spoilers, and speculation around.
