‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers: Recently, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) went to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to try to “apologize” to her for ratting her out to the SEC.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nina Asks for Forgiveness from Carly
Nina went to Carly, talking about God, grace, and confession, everything but what Nina actually did to Carly instead of telling her the truth.
Carly didn’t have the patience to listen to Nina beating around the bush, and quite frankly, neither did we. At the time, Carly just thought Nina wanted to absolve her guilt and wanted Carly to forgive her.
Little does Carly know the mountain of betrayal she is about to step into, as she discovers the big “secret,” which isn’t such a secret after all.
Now that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) has broken the news to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), everyone will soon know the lengths Nina has gone to get Carly out of the picture so she could have Sonny and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) all to herself.
Lois has already been a better friend to Sonny than Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LiCisero) has to Carly by telling Sonny, who squealed to the SEC.
Lois knows firsthand what it’s like to have a big secret kept from her when everyone else around her knows the truth.
The secret that her then-husband, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), was also married to the town schemer, Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans), left her gutted and feeling like she had been played for a fool.
“Happy Birthday, Mrs. Ashton from the other Mrs. Ashton!” Longtime viewers know this line. Lois said this after she popped out of Katherine’s birthday cake, shocking all the guests and creating a delicious scene.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly Figures It Out
Lois doesn’t want to see Sonny suffer the same fate. She knows she would have wanted someone to tell her, and she also understands how Sonny feels about betrayal.
So, naturally, Sonny will want to inform Carly, but something may stop him. Carly is also supposed to find out about her mother, Bobbie Spencer’s (Jackie Zeman) death soon.
Sonny could wait until after the funeral to tell Carly about Nina. Maybe Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) convinces Sonny to keep it from Carly indefinitely.
Meanwhile, the odd exchange between Carly and Nina may leave Carly unanswered questions. If Carly goes to talk to Olivia about her suspicions about Nina, Olivia may act strange, leaving Carly to wonder what is up with her BFF.
Carly may think Olivia is upset about how she confronted Ned at the Savoy on New Year’s Eve. Something in Olivia would snap as she blurted out that Ned wasn’t the whistle-blower.
Carly may not believe it initially, but Olivia will finally convince her he didn’t do it. “If it isn’t Ned, then who?” Carly will wonder.
Carly will put two and two together, realizing that Olivia knows more than she says. Eventually, she will realize why Nina came to her, wanting forgiveness.
And she will figure out that Olivia knew about Nina’s actions all along.
