The actress has lost a dear friend to a longtime health battle. He was a revered Canadian film and TV director named Charles Officer. He was only 49 when he passed away peacefully in his Toronto home on December 1st.

Inga is heartbroken and has taken the time to post on Instagram what Charles meant to her in her life. She posted this message on Instagram:
“I haven’t been able to surface for a couple of days to make this post. Thank you to the people who have been checking on me. I see you, I appreciate you. My writing partner, producing partner, confidant, and beloved friend of 20 years has transitioned to the spiritual world. There had been absolutely no one in my life who has believed in me, supported my work, encouraged me, and told me I could do anything and to never give up because he was by my side guiding me along the way than Charles Officer. To say I have loved and lost is an understatement. The world has lost a light, An angel….”
We have all experienced a sense of loss at some point in our lives. Inga’s beautiful tribute to her friend reminds us that we should never take a single day for granted.
Inga Candranel often looked forward to planning creative projects and new endeavors with Charles. They were excited about the future and years of friendship to come.
Inga, Charles, and a small circle of their friends have been holding his health issues a secret for the past year, and this past Friday, he succumbed to his illness.
Inga had recently visited her friend in his hospital, and they talked for three hours and truly enjoyed each other’s company. Candranel expressed her sorrow and that she keeps his name and spirit alive.
