And with perfectly good reason. In a Dr. Phil exclusive interview yesterday when asked how they felt about the matter, mostly her Dad said that he couldn’t use the words he wanted to to describe what Brian Laundrie is, but he settled on “coward” and… it’s appropriate.
Since September 14th, Brian Laundrie has been missing in connection with Gabby Petito’s disappearance and death, and the family has not made contact with the Petitos at all.

In this interview they said that they were the ones who initially reached out to the Laundrie family, both parents and his sister, Cassie, but there was no response and apparently no cops were involved.
Instead, they hired a lawyer to speak for them and then went to Fort DeSoto National Park where Brian proceeded to disappear. According to the family they haven’t heard from Brian and don’t know where he is, but nor have they attempted to find him.
Initially it was suspected that he went off and committed suicide, but so far no body has been found and the family is acting entirely too calm.
One would think that if someone’s son is missing and suspected dead or at the very least possibly having an extreme mental health crisis, the family would be flipping out and leaving no stone unturned and getting in contact with everyone… but not the Laundrie family, it’s not working in their favor.
There has now been some flight records released but they were when Brian flew home to Tampa on August 17th, then returned on the 23rd to Salt Lake City to rejoin Gabby. He had gone home to get a few items and empty and close his storage unit.
It looks like sources that speculate her death could have occured on August 27th, because that’s when the credit card fraud was stated as happening. Cassie Laundrie caused some suspicion to be cast on the family when she told GMA that she hadn’t “spoken” to her brother and that that was the weirdest thing about this case… no mention of Gabby, or that someone lost their life, no the strangest thing is that she hasn’t spoken to her brother.
Okay, sure, Jan. We hope that the manhunt can end soon and Gabby’s family will get the justice they deserve. Stay tuned!!!
