Justice is being served. There’s a new report that says Lady Gaga’s dog kidnapping suspects have been arrested. In fact, five people have been arrested in connection with the violent kidnapping of Lady Gaga’s dogs earlier this year, the Los Angeles Police Department.
The arrests were made on Tuesday, nearly two months to the day after the singer’s dog walker was shot by suspects who demanded he hand over her three French bulldogs. They eventually fled the scene with two of them.
Five Arrests Made In Connection To Lady Gaga’s Dognapping Case
Ryan Fischer was walking three of Lady Gaga’s dogs near Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood when a group of five men were said to have jumped out a car and grabbed two of the pets, Koji and Gustav, on February 24. Fisher was shot in the ensuing struggle before the men were reported to have fled in the car.
And now James Howard Jackson, 18, Jaylin Keyshawn White, 19, and Lafayette Shon Whaley, 27, have all been charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery. Four of them are documented gang members in Los Angeles, according to police.
“This was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded,” said Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement. “We have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court.”
The dogs were returned unharmed days later after Lady Gaga offered a $500,000 reward by a woman. Officers said at the time that the woman appeared to be “uninvolved and unassociated” with the theft. It was later revealed that the woman was in a relationship with the father of one of the suspects.
So far Lady Gaga herself has not made any comments about the matter.
