Felicity Huffman is coming out and addressing her role in the college admissions scandal while speaking to ABC about it. For a quick refresher, Huffman pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. She admitted that she paid an admissions consultant $15,000 to fix the answers on her daughter’s SAT.
Huffman remembered the moment that SWAT showed up at her home, somehow bringing race into her story, saying, “They came into my home. They woke my daughters up at gunpoint. Again, nothing new to the Black and Brown community. Then they put my hands behind my back and handcuffed me and I asked if I could get dressed.” She continued to say, “I thought it was a hoax. I literally turned to one of the FBI people, in a flak jacket and a gun, and I went, is this a joke?”
Felicity Huffman SHOCKINGLY Claims “I Had To Break The Law” To Get Daughter Into College
Unfortunately for her, it was not a joke, and she ended up pleading guilty in 2019. Now she’s speaking about her scandal in public for some reason instead of letting the past go. Does she need money, or is there something else going on behind-the-scenes?
Speaking to ABC, Huffman claimed she had to break the law for her daughter, “”It was sort of like my daughter’s future, which meant I had to break the law. I know hindsight is 20/20, but it felt like I would be a bad mother if I didn’t do it. So, I did it.”
These claims are not getting her any empathy from people, however, and is making the situation worse for herself and her family. Many people would have probably forgotten about it by now, or at least not been talking about it. Perhaps bad publicity is better than no publicity? It’s a strange thing to come out and speak about. Her daughter, Sophia Grace Macy, was initially turned down by every school she applied at. However, she has retaken the SAT and now studies drama at Carnegie Mellon University.
