The Australian actress has become a fashion icon outside of her acting skills. She has often been praised for having youthful looks, despite being at the age of 54-years-old.
While that may be the case, there is no denying that her cover shoot went on to divide fans. In the clip here, we can see that Nicole is dressed in a green short-cropped dress mimicking that of a school teenager.
It was clearly a bold move, but for her, it sadly backfired. A large number of people questioned why the actress would agree to do this, given that they felt it moved away from her elegant style that she is known for.
One person wrote: “She’s an accomplished actress who’s nominated for an Oscar. Why is she dressed like a school girl [sic]? Not cool.”
While another person stated: “Nicole Kidman is incredible but this styling is terrible. I’m shocked she agreed to this.” Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following factors.
First of all, Nicole has done fashion shoots for the magazine on a variety of occasions. Therefore, if she was really uncomfortable about doing this, she would have made her voice heard.
Secondly, in any event, turning down one of the leading magazines in the world is not something that many people often do and Nicole was no exception when it came to this.
Lastly, irrespective of whether or not you agree with the actual photo, a small subset of people did believe that the actress was pushing the boundaries.
As a result, they praised her for the courage she had taken in trying to make a fashion statement. One fan remarked: “Haters are gonna hate! Nicole is looking amazing!”
Ultimately, it all comes down to Nicole’s own choice. And If she was of the opinion that this could have a positive impact on her brand, then that is the most important thing. After all, she is the only person who knows what is best for.
