The actress suffered further trauma, as the attack left her with many visible injuries that she displayed when she attended the premiere of ‘The Birthday Cake.’ While actresses should be prepared for the unknown, Clara could be forgiven if she was left feeling rather traumatised. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she tried her best to downplay the incident.
In the picture, though, we can see her with huge scratches/scars under her eye and on her nose. The post was captioned by the following comments: “When a dog bite lands you in the ER 30 mins before the red carpet. Thank you, @themobmuseum, for having us.” Clara, for her part, could have opted to miss the event, but she was not having any of it.
This is understandable for the following reasons. First of all, her father is set to star in the movie. It is one thing attending a premiere, but it is extra special when the family are involved. Not only that, Clara had actually produced the film. Therefore, she was not going to miss out on seeing the final product.
And in an attempt to downplay the incident, she shared some other photos from the hospital. In the picture here, we can see her sitting on the hospital bed as she is smiling at what was most likely such disbelief at what had happened.
Nevertheless, the premiere completed what was a natural path for Clara. Ewan previously spoke on how Clara gave meaning to his life, and she had the fortune of attending major film events: albeit when she was a baby. But it does show she was destined for big things.
In a prior interview, Ewan remarked: “I had Clara in my lap as a baby doing press at Cannes for Trainspotting/ Ultimately, through all of that craziness and that time, I had that sort of safety line through my life, which was my work and family, that I could latch onto.”
