Jensen Ackles has paid tribute to the late Halyna Hutchins after she was tragically killed on the set of ‘Rust’ in a prop gun accident fired by Alec Baldwin

Her life was taken when actor Alec Baldwin fired the gun after being under the impression that it was not loaded. And given that she is no longer here, Jensen, who was also an actor/producer on the set, felt compelled to let the world know just how talented Halyna was in her job.
In a post to his fans on social media, he remarked: “I told her…I thought her camera shots were and just how exciting it was to watch her and her teamwork. Truly.
“She laughed and said thank you and gave me a hug. I’ll forever be thankful we had that moment…She was an inspiration.”
In order to make sure that Halyna’s work and legacy continues, Jensen made the decision to contribute to a fund that was set up in her name. By doing so, he is hoping that other stars such as Halyna will be found.
Although it is not going to take the pain away that everyone is experiencing, there is a feeling that this will have made Halyna proud.
He added: “Danneel [Jensen’s spouse] and I have donated to the AFI scholarship fund in her name and to the Go Fund Me.” And given that Jensen is a parent, too, he understands the pain that Halyna’s husband must be going through.
After all, she left behind their 9-year-old son, who has been left to digest this traumatic news. But by being there for them, Jensen is hoping that he can do something positive, just like Halyna had done for him during their time working together.
He continued: “I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family.” It is wonderful to see everyone rallying together during this time.
And let us hope that safety protocols are improved after this incident to prevent another tragedy from happening. If this has the benefit of doing that, then at least it will have made something good come out of something that was very painful.
