The former President, Donald Trump, issued a statement Thursday night that called out NBA superstar LeBron James for his recent posts about a police shooting, with James calling the police officer out and saying, “You’re Next”.
The president issued this statement through Ben Jacobs on Twitter.
“LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long and distinguished history of the League. His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning. He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together.”

This comes in response to a police shooting in Columbus, Ohio, where a 16-year-old girl was shot and killed by police as she was holding a knife and about to attack another child, an 11-year-old. The implication was that the police officer was white, and the children were black.
In the last year, race between police officers and shootings have been the discussion, however, in this case, it was completely justified as the officer saved the life of the other younger children from being stabbed. However, this didn’t stop LeBron from posting a photo of the officer with the caption, “You’re Next”.
He jumped all over the event before the details were out and it was clear that the officer was correct in his motives. While no one ever wants to take a life, especially of a child’s, he made the correct decision in the split-second he had to think.
We have to agree with Trump on this one. LeBron seems to have wanted it to be racially motivated so he could continue to push his narrative and call for violence.
