Singer Dolly Parton has rejected claims that she had insured certain parts of her body.
Dolly Parton Denies Rumours She Insured Her Breasts-‘It’s Not True’
There is no denying that Dolly has had extensive plastic surgery, as evidenced by her own admissions. Some of the procedures that she has reportedly had include breast surgery, as well as a nose job.
Although that may be the case, she has not taken things a step further by monetising her body parts. During an interview on the Today show, Dolly denied rumours that she had insured her breasts. She said: “It’s not true.”
Despite those comments, Dolly did not do herself any favours when she previously approached his topic that seemed to suggest that she may have insured them.
During a discussion about her body, Dolly had made some comments about trying to protect the value of her breasts. Naturally, these were taken out of context with the result that speculation had emerged that she had done such a thing.
She added: “Years ago, was it [actress] Betty Grable, or one of the great famous stars that was famous also for her legs? At that time, I said ‘Well maybe I should get my boobs insured since I’m famous for them.'”
Nevertheless, Dolly had other things on her mind. Just this month, she celebrated her 76th birthday which was another huge milestone as it marked 45 years since she first began to sing.
And given that she has had so many reports written about her during that time, the last thing that she wanted to do was focus on things which were not true.
However, before she signed off on this topic, she let the fans know that she was joking when discussing about insuring her breasts.
She continued: “It was just a joke. I didn’t do that. By the way, you can get new boobs but you can’t get new legs!”
This is probably not the biggest talking point in Dolly’s career, but there is no denying that it did create a stir amongst the fan base.
But now that this has been put to bed, fans can appreciate her for the music and memories she has created throughout her lifetime.
