Did Amber Heard Get KICKED OFF & Recast From Aquaman 2 Following Disastrous Loss In Johnny Depp Defamation Trial?

For those of us who have kept up with the Johnny Depp trial, we have all heard the groans and cries of Amber Heard‘s career as it slowly died on the witness stand. Originally, she was cast as Mera, in Aquaman 2, a movie whose production has already been delayed once, but now we’re hearing that she may be cut from the production entirely and replaced with an unnamed actress.

Both Amber and her team maintain that such rumors are just that, rumors and are “insane”, but are they really? Aquaman is part of the MCU. Marvel is associated with Disney and Disney is a huge corporation. They’ve already come under fire for firing Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and not allowing him to keep his iconic role so why would they allow the woman who essentially scuttled Jack Sparrow to keep hers?

It would seem that it would be wiser to just cut ties with both and wash the Big Mouse’s hands of the entire thing rather than risk taking one spouse’s side over the other. Yes, we know that Disney and the MCU is essentially not part of the court case that happened but it could be argued that the corporation “chose sides” so in an effort to maintain impartiality one could just cut ties with both and be done with it.

Contractually, everything is done, Heard’s scenes were shot over a year ago and she was already paid her $2M salary. So, in terms of contract, she’s good.

The only reason we could see that Heard’s scenes would not be reshot with a different actress is the fact that reshoots take time and the film has already been delayed once. That ultimately runs production costs even higher and let’s face it, the film industry is out to make money, not give it away.

However, there is apparently some truth to this alleged rumor because allegedly Heard’s scenes were cut down immensely, which would totally make sense considering all the bad press she’s been getting lately.
