‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynn McCord) feelings for EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) may lead her to expose her own secret ISA cover.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ and Cat Were Together In a Clinic In Italy, and She Read Wuthering Heights to Him
Last week, in an effort to stall EJ while Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) searched EJ’s lab at the hospital, Cat impulsively kissed EJ.
Of course, Cat has told Rafe on several occasions that she takes no issue with using her feminine wiles on EJ. She needs to extract information from him.
DOOL fans know that Cat is an ISA agent. She works for Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and with Rafe on her mission to investigate EJ.
They want to know how EJ acquired the hospital. Rafe and Cat also correctly believe that he had help in purchasing the bankrupt medical facility.
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) is EJ’s silent investor. She’s up to her neck in EJ’s schemes. This included EJ and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) resurrection of EJ’s dearly departed sister, Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford).
Not to mention, their stake in the miracle drug, Versavix. It’s the same drug John Black (Drake Hogestyn) gave up his life to get to save Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and others.
Right now, Cat is acting as EJ’s assistant and is deeply entrenched in his life. Cat clearly has a soft spot for EJ and may risk blowing her own cover to tell him the truth and possibly prevent his incarceration.
Cat and EJ share a history. They were both in the same clinic in Italy at the same time. Both of them were recovering from injuries caused by Clyde Weston (James Read).
Both EJ and Cat required reconstructive surgery. Cat recovered with EJ and would often come to visit him in his hospital room. She read him passages from Emily Bronte’s novel Wuthering Heights.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Cat May Blow Her Cover to Help EJ
The dynamic between EJ and Cat can be compared to Wuthering Heights. It’s complex, intense, sultry, and undeniably romantic. EJ also understands why Cat pretended to be his brother, Chad DiMera’s (Conner Floyd) late wife.
She was protecting her family. EJ shares with Cat an enduring need to protect the people he loves. With that said, Cat has obviously set up a honeytrap to gather information that may or may not land EJ in prison.
However, it’s obvious that Cat is falling for EJ and vice versa. Would she risk her mission to tell him the truth and expose her true identity? That admission would obviously blow the mission wide open.
This is a very dangerous situation for Cat, given the stakes involved. Cat has already kissed EJ passionately to distract him. He’s admitted that he has feelings for her beyond her simply being his assistant.
Since this is a soap, Cat may likely go as far as to expose herself in the hopes that EJ will forgive her and forge a romantic relationship with her.
On the other hand, Cat may only drop hints that help EJ realize he’s being investigated not only by the ISA but also by the FBI. Even if Cat intervenes to protect him, EJ could be in a lot more trouble than either one of them knows.
