Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Belle Black (Martha Madison) may end her steamy affair with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerreigel) if he causes her disbarment.
Belle has looked like a fool for EJ for months now, and she should have seen this coming. On the August 7th episode of Days, Belle and EJ went up against each other in court during Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) trial.

The prosecutor, Belle, got Johnny to admit that Johnny was upset over EJ raping Sami Brady (Alison Sweeny) years ago. It was a very uncomfortable moment for everyone in the courtroom.
The look on EJ’s face said everything after Belle’s line of questioning. He was visibly furious, and he decided to betray Belle publicly.
EJ pointed out that Belle is Johnny’s aunt and that she used information “not yet introduced into evidence based on her personal knowledge.”
He also got Johnny to admit that EJ is in a relationship with Belle. Belle tried to salvage her case, but EJ was too slick for her.
In a shocking twist, EJ turned the tables on Belle and claimed that she “has a major conflict of interest” and requested a mistrial.
EJ used Belle’s love for him when he made it clear to the judge and jury that the two of them were an item and Belle shouldn’t be prosecuting this case.
Did EJ plan this all along? We have to wonder if he made a snap decision in the moment in response to the word “rape” coming out of Belle’s mouth.
Or was he cooking up a massive scheme all along? Maybe his master plan was to proceed with the trial and call for a mistrial at the perfect time.
Belle could lose her career and be disbarred. However, we all know it was EJ who made a secret deal for Belle to remain on the case even after she wanted to recuse herself.

She knew this might blow up in her face. Johnny is her nephew, and she’s dating the defense attorney on the case. EJ is also Johnny’s father.
Only on a soap would a court case proceed in this manner. Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry) could even fire Belle over this.
Her reputation as district attorney could be at stake. We could see that the judge wasn’t too keen on EJ and Belle’s romantic involvement, yet they proceeded with this kangaroo court.
EJ’s legal tactic to discredit Belle may work in Johnny’s favor. However, it could end his relationship with Belle.
Belle and EJ decided to keep their relationship under wraps during this trial. The couple even met for a secret rendezvous the night before.
We literally watched EJ use Belle to achieve the result he wanted in court. We also have to wonder if he saw the opportunity to use their tryst before trial to his advantage.
He could have easily set Belle up. Belle asked for bedroom time with her bad boy, giving him a key to meet her in her room at the Salem Inn.
If we had to guess? EJ was super p***ed when Belle announced EJ’s past sin of raping Sami. It may be the reason he attacked his girlfriend in court. Will she dump him over it?
