‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers Tyler Christopher has opened up about leaving the soap and his character, Stefan DiMera, behind. The actor announced several months ago that he is leaving daytime television in order to pursue other activities in the entertainment industry.

Speaking to Soap Opera News, the handsome actor said that transitioning from General Hospital to Days of Our Lives was a smooth experience. In fact, he has no problem with it, considering that he’s been in the daytime television industry for many years. Speaking about the soap’s production schedule, he told the site, “It’s very quick and very fast. I was used to it. But Days works extremely fast. It’s insane. If you are not prepared for it, you can’t do it. It’s going to be difficult for you as an actor.”

In addition, Tyler says that working with the Days of Our Lives cast and crew was an incredibly positive experience. He explained, “They are great. Billy and I are still friends. We talk even to this day. I adore Marci. She had an impossible task playing multiple characters all at once. And to do it at that speed. She crushed it. I hope she is rewarded for it this year.”
Now, as far as whether or not he would reprise his role in the future remains to be seen. His former General Hospital co-star Brandon Barash will be taking over his role for now. But Tyler did say that he’s not one to “never say never.” Seeing how the daytime television world is like one big revolving door, there’s a chance that he might come back one day. For now, fans will just have to keep their fingers crossed! Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on the NBC network. Check your local listings for times.
