‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that with a new year and new writers coming to the soap, 2025 should prove to be an exciting year for viewers.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: New Head Writers Promise More Love Stories And Character Development
Ron Carlivati has been replaced with co-head writers Paula Cwickly and Jeanne Marie Ford. Both have impressive writing credentials, and their first order of business is to give fans what they have been hoping for: the end of Body and Soul.
Fans want to get back to the core of what Days is supposed to be. The new writers promise to showcase more love stories and improve character development. Here are some stories we’d love to see in 2025:
The first and possibly most obvious one is a double pregnancy shocker. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) marriage has faced some tough times, and they are about to get even more challenging.
The big reveal that Johnny had a one-night stand with Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) is about to come out. We think it would be a super soapy move if Chanel and Joy both were pregnant at the same time.
Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) must admit their true feelings for each other as they clearly belong together.
Let’s cut Philip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier) out of the equation altogether. He doesn’t belong with Stephanie. Also, Phillip is a legacy character, the son of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), and should have stories worthy of his rich history. Who didn’t see the judge’s ruling to split Titan 50/50 between Phillip and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) coming?
We also don’t really feel JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) together. Gabi is a strong, fiery female character, and whoever she’s paired with should sizzle on screen. Jimenez has been a brilliant addition to the cast.
Ava Vitali (Tamra Bruan) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) are gold and should explore a deeper relationship.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: John Should Go Out Like The True Hero He Is
We are sitting on pins and needles, waiting to find out who will shoot EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). We have to wonder if that’s why they brought back Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) doppelganger. Will he be the culprit?
Days spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will be the one to find EJ after he’s shot. It will lead to a mystery, but we highly doubt Days would be foolish enough to part ways with Feuerriegel. He’s too good at playing EJ, and we would venture to say he’s irreplaceable.
Another story we’d love to see is the return of the real Abigail Deveraux (last played by Marci Miller). However, we have a request: bring back Kate Mansi as Abigail!! We know she’s playing Kristina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital, but she was the best Abigail by far.
That being said, we’d also miss our Kristina. Perhaps Days and GH could work something out and have her on both soaps. Wally Kurth, who plays Ned Quartermaine on GH and Justin Kiriakis on Days, plays double duty; why not Kate Mansi?
While we know Body and Soul is ending, we want Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) to have a story. He’s funny and charming, and he should remain on our screens.
We also want to see John Black (Drake Hogetyn) go out in a blaze of glory. Have the character save someone and be killed in the process.
It will be a gut-wrenching funeral, as the actor died this past September. Hogestyn approved of his character’s death before the actor tragically succumbed to his illness, and we think this story is the one that will surpass all the others.
