‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are excited and curious to find out why Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) didn’t tell Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) who shot him.
At first, we thought he was going to have a memory problem since that’s the current popular trope to use, but instead he said he isn’t sure who shot him.
It makes sense given what he just went through and nearly died, but we think there could be more to it and that’s going to be a fun angle to the storyline.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Protecting two with one lie
While Harris has every reason to come clean and tell Rafe that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish) shot him, ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers thinks there’s more to the story than Harris is claiming, and we’re hoping it’s not a rewrite or oversight.
Given how liberally they sprinkle in twists and add to previous conversations, it’d make sense that there’s more to Harris’ actions than we can see.
It makes sense that he’d know about Stefan being blackmailed by Clyde Weston (James Read) too.
So we think it’s probable that Harris is trying to protect Stefan from retribution from Clyde, which will also protect Ava.
As long as Stefan isn’t arrested, then Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) is safe and the pressure won’t be applied to Ava to attack him.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – He knows Stefan tried not to kill him
With his history as a Navy SEAL, it makes sense he’d know is Stefan was trying to kill him.
The fact he didn’t put that third bullet in him shows Stefan didn’t want to do it and lacks the killer instinct, which is what set Clyde off when he learned Harris is still alive.
We have a feeling this will come up later in the week when Stefan does try to finish Harris off as he’s going to be stuck in a no win situation.
If he doesn’t kill Harris, then Gabi’s dead. If he does, it’ll break Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun)’s heart and he’ll have to live with what he did, and we doubt Gabi will be okay with it.
This has so much potential to be one of the best storylines of the year and we hope it pays off. As for how Michaels will stop Stefan, he may just tell Rafe and have Gabi transferred where they know she’s safe and protected, taking away Clyde’s leverage.
It could be the out Stefan needs, and it’ll allow him to tell them everything as an informant and avoid prosecution. Especially if he points out he went to EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) and he refused to help him.
A little omission to balance the scales is the DiMera way, after all.
