There’s been some fun speculation going around about who will be recast in the role of Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), and ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers think we may have some answer to that and more.
Since the actress left, Gabi’s been off screen in prison for murdering Li Shin (Reminton Hoffman) following a vengeful prosecution by EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Mayor Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) not allowing Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to fully examine all the evidence.
She even ripped into Rafe for wanting to see if he could prove Gabi’s innocence and he cited how Paulina’s history sided with him.
So, Gabi was railroaded and now it looks like she and her brother, Dario Hernandez will be returning.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Recasting time
A couple of weeks ago, ‘Days of Our Lives’ announced two additions to Salem and playfully asked who they could be on their Instagram.
EJ’s Dan Feuerriegel replied tongue in cheek, “Definitely Ren & Stimpy”, implying they will be Gabi and Dario.
Since Gabi is one of EJ’s least favorite people, it’ll be interesting to see how he handles having Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) prove she’s innocent, but more on that later.
The recasting isn’t a surprise as ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers and others have speculated on who would take over as Gabi for some time, and it looks like Cherie Jimenez with Al Calderon expected to take over as Dario.
The problem here for some fans is this would mean de-aging Dario, who was last played by Jordi Vilasuso in 2017, and that’s a practice soaps aren’t known for as they tend to rapidly age children characters.
Still, it’ll be fun to see Rafe’s siblings return and cause him some headaches, especially after he gave up on Gabi so easily.

While the two were photographed in Rafe’s kitchen, the face Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish) tasked Kristen with proving Gabi’s innocent signifies Gabi’s return before too long.
This leads to the question as to who killed Li, and we think it was EJ or someone working for him.
Before he left the show, Remington and Dan did an interview where they talked about their characters working together one more time, and we think it was meant to set Gabi up for assaulting Li, but something went wrong.
Will we be right? We’ll have to wait and see, but that’s no important. What is important is we have two new cast members to get to know and see what they bring to their roles.
This is going to be fun.
