Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, April 17: Fun or avoidance?
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Xander share a playful evening. We can see that. However, we think this is more about distracting himself than enjoying her company. We’re pretty sure he calls Gwen right away after having seen Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady Black (Eric Martoslf) looking a lot closer and more serious than he thought.
To Xander’s credit, spending a night with Gwen is a much better reaction than he might have had in the past. So, it’s not the most healthy move, but a step in the right direction.

Elsewhere, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) clash. What else is new, right? It’s obviously going to be more of Kristen blaming EJ for her daughter’s situation. Although, what brings them together to have this exchange is anyone’s guess. It’s possible he has contacted her about the reading of their father’s will, but it could easily be another case of crossing paths. After all, people have a bad habit in this town of running into the person they’d least want to see.

In other Days of Our Lives spoilers, Paulina vents to Belle Black (Martha Madison). Again, no shocker here. It’s clearly going to be a rant against EJ. Especially now that Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) has left DiMera without a proper explanation. And Belle will clearly be all in when it comes to an EJ bashing.

Speaking of Theo and his reason, he shares a secret with Marlena Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). From the weekly, we know he’ll confess his mother is alive. Obviously, he’s counting on the doctor/patient privilege to get this off his chest without letting the truth out. With all the questions he’s getting about his decision to quit DiMera, we’re sure he’s in desperate need of that.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, April 17: Can’t do anything right
Finally, Alex surprises Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), but it goes wrong. No surprise here. Again. We get Stephanie is having a hard time. And this emotional mess she’s dealing with is unfortunately getting mostly taken out on Alex. We think no matter what the situation, he won’t be able to win with her right now. So, we think he’d be better off just making in clear here is there and giving her space.
