Few things are as guaranteed in this world as much as retribution and karma on soap operas, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are ready for EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) to get his and it’s going to be glorious.

There’s a whole lot of fun coming his way, and all of it could’ve been prevented had he not been so intent on holding a grudge against his own brother amid others.

It’s a typical trope that’s used, and when Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) finds out he could’ve prevented Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis)’s overdose, he’s as good as dead.

And we mean that professionally as Salem’s DA as well, unless Nicole literally kills him.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Ignoring a brother in need

EJ is the ultimate family man in many ways as he always touts the importance of the DiMera’s sticking by each other and helping out, but he dismissed that when Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish) asked for his help with Clyde Weston (James Read).

Given EJ’s history with Clyde, it was an obvious choice to ask him for help as even ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers  thought he’d jump at the chance to end Clyde.

Unfortunately, EJ was in the midst of a bout of conscience as he was in a happy place with Nicole and didn’t want to go back to his old ways. But more so, because it meant he’d also be helping Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus).

Those two have caused him no end of grief, especially Ava for nearly killing his mother, so we can’t really fault him for that decision.

But when he gloats over Stefan most likely going to jail for his role in the drug trade, all bets are off.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Arrogance leads to a hard fall

EJ’s threatened Stefan before, blaming him for Holly’s overdose while brushing off the fact he refused to help Stefan stop Clyde before things could get started.

So, when he learns of the huge drug bust and the probability of the prisoners blabbing all they knew, including the Bistro being a front, he’s going to joyously mock and celebrate Stefan’s downfall.

His revenge will be complete, but secrets have a habit of coming out, and when his does and Nicole learns he could’ve done something to prevent Holly’s overdose, she’s going to want her pound of flesh.

Not to mention the good people of Salem’s reaction when they learn their DA could’ve stopped the epidemic before it got started and chose not to.

EJ better grab another drink. He’s going to need it.

How bad a fall will EJ suffer from his role in this? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
