‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that star Chrishell Stause (Jordan Ridgeway) says that losing her parents has been a much more painful experience than her divorce from her ex, Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman, The Young and the Restless). Here’s what she has to say.
This past year surely hasn’t been a good one for Chrishell. Her ex Justin Hartley unexpectedly pulled the plug on their marriage back in November of 2019. If that weren’t enough, the daytime television and reality star lost both her parents to cancer within the last year-and-a-half.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alum Chrishell Stause Says Losing Her Parents Is More Painful Than Her Divorce
Her father passed in April 2019 from lung cancer. Her mother, who was his primary caretaker, was diagnosed with lung cancer February of this year and passed away over the summer.
Speaking about her parents on the most recent episode of DWTS, Chrishell said, “They were really loving people. Some of my best memories are with my mom dancing with her in the living room. It makes me a little sad because I would’ve loved to teach her a little cha-cha or something.”
In a separate interview with People Magazine, the brunette beauty admitted that while this has been a very difficult year for her, she’s determined to move forward, despite all of the pain she is going through. She also said that her divorce from her soon-to-be ex-husband Justin Hartley has been less painful than the passing of both of her parents.
“It’s almost an ungrievable loss,” she said of their deaths. “The other loss [divorce], you can slowly recover and get over,” she said. “This one just feels like I’m adapting, as opposed to getting over it.”
