‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) may soon discover she’s pregnant. Under normal circumstances, she’d be thrilled.
However, she’s livid with her husband, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), because he almost slept with her co-star on Body and Soul, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chanel Learned About Johnny And Joy On New Year’s Eve
Chanel made this discovery on New Year’s Eve when she went upstairs to find Johnny, and he was in their bedroom with Joy, chastising her for coming to their New Year’s Eve bash after Chanel insisted she come.
That’s when Joy remarked, “If Chanel ever found out what happened between us….” Chanel was right outside the door.
When Chanel learned that Johnny was unfaithful, she lashed out at Johnny and didn’t give him a chance to explain, as she stormed out of the DiMera mansion.
Chanel also promptly quit Body and Soul, leaving the soap within a soap to hang in the balance. She doesn’t want to be anywhere near Johnny or Joy.
However, she confronted Joy at Horton Square and told her to take EJ DiMera‘s (Dan Feuerriegel) money and leave town.
When Joy arrived at the DiMera mansion for Thanksgiving, EJ pulled her aside and told her he’d give her money to exit stage left out of Salem. EJ was serious about protecting his son and his marriage.
The following day, she met EJ outside the Pub, and she almost accepted his offer, but Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) intercepted and encouraged Joy to remain in Salem and keep her acting gig at Body and Soul.
The couple hit the sheets on New Year’s Eve before Chanel and Johnny’s party began. All arrows point to Chanel and Johnny not being careful enough to stop and use protection. A character having a surprise pregnancy after a devastating breakup is a classic soap trope.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chanel Previously Suffered A Miscarriage
With all the issues plaguing Johnny and Chanel’s marriage, would Chanel feel compelled to inform Johnny that he’s about to become a father?
It’s implausible that Chanel would have an abortion, as she refused to do so the last time she was pregnant. Also, in the winter preview of Days, it looked like Chanel was holding a baby bump.
Unfortunately, the last time Chanel was pregnant, she suffered a miscarriage thanks to her mom, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry).
Paulina, who was radioactive at the time, impulsively broke out of the hospital and took off looking for her daughter in a snowstorm and exposed a pregnant Chanel to radiation poisoning.
We have a feeling that if Chanel is pregnant, she won’t share the news with her husband. At the very least, she may claim that someone else is the father.
We predict it may be Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), who she says is her baby daddy. After all, Johnny believed Chanel was having an affair with Alex. That was Johnny’s sole motivation for cheating on Chanel. He wanted to even the score.
It would be ironic if Alex were the person she turned to now. Chanel is determined and headstrong; if she wants to hide her pregnancy from Johnny, she’ll find a way.
