‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are curious how some things are going to play out, and one of those is how bad Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is as running a newspaper, keeping his promises, and making sense.
He’s one of our favorite characters, but the writer’s choices at the moment really leave a lot to be desired.
Of course, it should be noted that the current episodes are allegedly written by the replacement writers, so it’s hard to tell if they were following previous plot plans or going in another direction.
There’s been plenty of consistency issues with the show the last couple of years from how characters react and what we see as things always change.
One that comes to mind is when Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) was killed they showed Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) with a knife and looking terrified, but later he left the knife behind and it wasn’t followed up on.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Chad’s flip flop
The current issue as far as the Spectator’s storyline goes is Chad’s flip flopping of his role. When he bought Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien)’s half, he was going to be a silent partner and let Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) run it.
But that quickly changed when Chad decided he wanted to honor Abigail and her family’s memory by returning the paper to legitimacy instead of a gossip piece.
So, without word or reason, he and Xander flipped and Xander became the quiet partner aside from being concerned about the budget, but more than that Chad’s forgotten the reason he’s in the office to begin with.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Forgetting his purpose
Chad was intent on returning the Spectator back to prominence as a respectable news source after Xander and Gwen made it more about gossip than news, but he’s about to shoot himself in the foot and smear all over that legacy.
Granted, he’s doing it to help family, notably Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish), but it’s going to lead to a war between he and Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) over whether to include the Bistro in their reporting about the drug problem in Salem.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers have a feeling that Everett will still report on the Bistro and push it through before Chad can stop him, especially since Chad told him to do what he has to.
What’s going to really make this fun is when Chad learns Stefan when to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) for help and he refused him and kept quiet.
Chad’s going to be a lonely outcast for a long time after this.
Will Chad end up doing what’s right or go down his with promise of a reputable newspaper? Let us know s know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
