‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers say that fans will soon find out more about the possibly romance that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) had in the past.
Apparently, Salem is now just catching wind of it and yes, fans, too. Unfortunately, a lot of people are left scratching their heads over this pairing, as it seems to be coming from way out of left field. Here’s what you need to know.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for ‘Days of Our Lives’ fans to take to their social media accounts to weigh in on the storyline.
Some comments have included, “Now I LOVE me some Kate Roberts, but Jack?!? He’s literally the last person on this canvas I’d want to see her hook up with. Last person left on Canvas they haven’t already put her with. This show needs new blood in the form of writers,” along with, “Am I the only one who can’t recall Jack & Kate ever sharing a scene before this?! I’m sure they knew each other since they’ve been in Salem for a combined total of 1,000 years but this is random as hell. It’d be more plausible if I could recall them ever having a conversation before.”

Another DOOL critic put it this way, “And I’ll give the affair reveal more time, but when the time jump occurred, it never appeared to be that an affair occurred. To wait on that time bomb for so long feels a bit contrived. Jack has grown and while I know there are layers to the story yet to be revealed, I can’t see this happening unless something really bad triggered it. But I guess it’s a way to push them to the front burner a bit and explains why Jennifer was recast because this story appears to be driving the show in the near future.”
