You may know Dave Bautista as the wrestler or as Drax from Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, however, he’s been working to make himself into a better actor and a leading man for some time now. Netflix’s ‘Army of the Dead’ was his first leading role and was directed by Zack Snyder.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Bautista spoke about how he wanted to work with Snyder on another project but things didn’t come together, and was really set to prove himself as an actor. He even thought that ‘Army of the Dead’ wasn’t what he was looking for, but after he read the script, he realized his character had a bit more depth to him rather than just being a mindless action-hero.

During the interview, Zack Snyder was brought up and both Bautista and Fallon spoke about how awesome he was and how much Bautista enjoyed working with him. Over the last few years, Snyder has taken a lot of flack, but the fact is he’s a passionate director and the actors he works with have nothing but good things to say about him.
Fans are excited to see Bautista continuing to grow his career and things are looking bright for the shy big man, “Im so freaking happy to see dave becoming a bigger movie star, he really deserves it.”, “Every actor after working with Zack Snyder can’t stop praising him. Also Bautista is awesome in the movie.”, and “This is why I love Dave Bautista. He’s such an intense guy on-screen and in the ring, and then when you see him being himself, he’s just a big sweetheart.”
