Dancing with the Stars: Sarah Michelle Gellar Praises Selma Blair Following Her Exit From The Show Amid Health Concerns-‘I’ve Never Been So Proud Of You’
Selma, for her part, was forced to walk away from the show as a result of some health concerns. And as part of that process, she recorded a message that was played to her professional dance partner Pasha Farber. She made it absolutely clear in no uncertain terms that she was not able to continue in the competition following some scans.
After all, it is no secret that she has been battling multiple sclerosis which does have an impact on the brain and nerves, thus affecting coordination. Despite that being the case, Sarah lauded Selma for having the courage to enter the competition and go out on her own terms.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Sarah shared a throwback selfie of the pair. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Long before @dancingwiththestars I knew you were a ten, and now the world knows.
“Selma I’ve never been so proud of you (and I’m often proud of you). You make the rest of us believe that we can do anything. That we can never give up.” Much in the same way, Sasha also came out with some very warm words for his dance partner.
He expanded on how Selma’s story would serve as an example to others that it is possible to overcome anything if you put your mind to it. And in the process of doing so, he had much admiration for her, irrespective of whether they would have won the competition or not.
His following comments confirmed as much: “She has not only inspired myself, but so many people around the world.” The response on social media was much the same. A significant proportion of the fan base thanked Selma for having the courage to be herself and take some risks.
