She might know something that the rest of us don’t know. Jill Duggar has made it pretty clear that she wants nothing to do with the Duggar family anymore and has even distanced herself from her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar.
A lot of fans now can’t help but wonder if there was a serious reason behind it, as it has just been revealed that her older brother Josh Duggar has been arrested. Yes, this is the same Josh that admitted to molesting his sisters when he was a teen. Here’s what you need to know.
Counting On: Josh Duggar Arrested – Is This Why Jill Duggar Has Been Distancing Herself From The Family?
According to reports, Josh was arrested in Arkansas by the feds and only a few days after his wife Anna Duggar announced her seventh pregnancy. Apparently, his arrest is in connection to the used car dealership he once owned.
He is currently being held without bail in Washington County. It’s also been noted that Josh Duggar’s car dealership in Arkansas was raided in 2019 in connection to a federal probe.
While no one knows the exact details surrounding his arrest, Jill and her husband Derick Dillard told ET Online in an interview, “We just learned this information. It is very sad.”
Clearly, there’s a reason why Jill wants nothing to do with her family any more, and some fans can’t help but wonder what it is.
Many Duggar fans took to their social media accounts to write, “These constraining religions are the cause of his sex crimes, and his father, who seems to do nothing, started him in the car business. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” along with, “His children and wife certainly deserve better. This man is determined to destroy his own life regardless of those it effects.”
Another critic wrote, “Poor Anna, was silenced into submission from the same people and religion to fall into place and have more marriage saving????? Babies. I feel for her. have no feelings left for the parents at all. They have now appeared in all their children’s shows just to leech out money for appearances. Shame on them.”
So far both Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have made no comments about their son’s arrest.
