We all love to see our friends post pictures of that special back-to-school time. Everyone with children does it, even the Duggars. Jill Duggar wanted to share her son, Israel’s first day at school.
Israel is now in the first grade and Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, chose to send him to public school instead of homeschooling the way that Michelle Duggar did her own children. Jill was so happy to send him off to school but was thinking about how he used to be so small.
Counting On: Jill Duggar Shares School Photos
Jill shared some adorable photos of Israel as he was getting ready to go to first grade. She posted on Instagram, “1st day of 1st grade was last week for this big guy! It’s hard to believe we are already here!!” Jill also shared a picture of her with her two sons and the new dog that they adopted. Her name is Fenna and the boys are very excited about this new addition to their family. It looks like the Dillards are celebrating a lot this year!
When Jill shared more photos of Israel going to first grade, one picture featured him with Fenna.
She captioned it, “Israel loved walking Fenna to school on his first day and she was super happy too, but got a little concerned after he walked inside… she stood there and kept watching for him. Israel’s kindergarten teacher moved up with him to 1st grade this year and we couldn’t be happier! Same is super happy to get some one-on-one time with mommy in preschool at home and on-the-go with regular library visits and fun classes they offer!”
Sam is only 4 years old and it seems that Jill will be spending quite a bit of time with him the way that she did with Israel when he was the same age. She wants them both to get the time with her and then off to school.
Jill and Derick have always been viewed as the black sheep in the Duggar family. They left the show after some creative differences and some very vocal opinions from Derick. They wanted to live their own lives and try to be out of the spotlight as much as possible. Being off of the show has helped them in many ways and they are very grateful that they made that choice early on.
