Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that two past stars of the soap could be set to make a stunning return after a tragic death. Viewers of the soap will be aware that Oliver Battersby’s condition has worsened drastically over the past couple of weeks, and Leanne Battersby is struggling to come to terms with the fact that her son is going to die.
Leanne did show some signs of improvement last week as she was visited by a councillor at her house, who admitted that she went through the exact same thing with her son. She took solace in the advice that she should cherish every day that she has with her son instead of dreading the day that comes when he is no longer there.

Leanne has been getting support from a number of friends during this difficult time, with Nick Tilsely, Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow all offering help. She has finally decided that they should cherish every moment that they have together and has revealed that a family holiday to the countryside could be exactly what they need to get through this.
But, the recent spoilers have indicated that there could be a stunning twist before the end of the year as Les Battersby and Janice Battersby make their return to Weatherfield. It has been rumoured that the couple could be set to return to Weatherfield for the first time in 13 years to help Leanne through this testing period.

Fans of the ITV soap would be delighted to see Les and Janice make their return to the soap. Les was a regular character on the soap for ten years before making his exit in 2007. He is Leanne’s father, which makes is somewhat surprising that he hasn’t bee mentioned in an episode over the last couple of months with what has been going on with Leanne.
However, he could be set to make amends for not being in contact over the coming months as he and Janice make a stunning return to the cobbles. The return would ensure that Leanne’s parents will be able to spend some time with Oliver before he passes away, and they would also be another shoulder for support for Leanne.
