ITV ‘Coronation Street’ spoilers have emerged that Peter Barlow may be the one to save Yasmeen Nazir from serving prison time. One of the most-talked-about storylines in the history of British soap will reach fever pitch this evening as Yasmeen is finally pushed over the edge by her abusive and controlling husband Geoff Metcalfe.

Fans have been disturbed for months by the storyline, as it has turned Yasmeen from a confident independent woman that owns her own business, into a woman that is scared to leave her own house. The storyline will get the screen time that it deserves this evening as the episode will focus solely on a day in the life of Yasmeen.

ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Can Peter Save Yasmeen

Viewers will witness Yasmeen attack Geoff in tonight’s episode. As her anger finally boils over. Geoff will come at Yasmeen with a knife, and she will be scared so she fights back. She immediately calls the police and admits to her crime. However, one character that could hold the key to Yasmeen’s future may be Peter Barlow.

Peter has been watching from a distance and offering support for Yasmeen after Geoff told everybody in the Rovers that she was an alcoholic. Yasmeen ultimately believed that she was too, but Peter has always been sceptical. In Monday’s episode, Yasmeen was given support by Peter, and offered her the chance to go to an AA meeting with him. However, she revealed that she wasn’t an alcoholic.

Peter was shocked to learn of the revelation, and then asked her a series of follow up questions. However, she refused to answer and kept looking at Geoff standing behind Peter. He quickly realised that there was something going on and looked worryingly at Yasmeen before admitting that he is always there to talk.

The look in Peter’s eyes would suggest that he knows something isn’t right in the dynamic in their relationship. That could prove pivotal over the coming weeks as the aftermath of the attack takes centre stage, But, will anybody be able to prove that Yasmeen was really the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of Geoff?
