Coronation Street spoilers have indicated that Gary Windass is going to be in for a difficult couple of weeks when scenes air next week. For the first time in over 12 months, Gary will not have the power the laud over the street as Adam Barlow works out that Gary killed Rick Neelan and then took over his business.
The walls have been closing in on Gary over recent weeks, as Adam is slowly piecing together the puzzle with the help of Laura Neelan. Laura revealed to Adam on Monday night that Gary has been acting as the middleman for Rick, and that she is shocked that Rick has left Kelly Neelan without even a goodbye.

Adam was getting even warmer later in the episode as he learns from Sarah that Gary has mysteriously raised the price of rent at the factory. Sarah was fuming with his decision to do that, and immediately told Adam when he arrived home. She told Adam that he must be desperate for the money, which could ensure that Adam gets even closer.
The truth is that Gary needs the extra money as Laura is demanding extra cash as part of a secret plan that she has with Adam. Once he decided to raise the price of the rent, the ball dropped for Adam that Rick may not really be on the scene anymore and Gary is just trying to cover his tracks. But, what will happen when he finally approaches Gary with his claims next week?

Gary will be stunned to hear that Adam has finally uncovered the truth, and he will try everything that he can to ensure that Adam is put off his trail. But, Adam has been looking for this kind of evidence for years so it is unlikely that he is going to give up easily as he has Gary on the hook.
The loan shark has been keeping his secret for 12 months, but there has always been fear that the truth would come out. Brain Packham will unintentionally get involved next week as he is stunned when Gary stops him from digging for Roman coins. But, when Adam finds out about this, will he finally know where the body is buried?
