Coronation Street spoilers fans took to social media last night to speculate whether Todd Grimshaw could be about to return to Weatherfield after a subtle hint was made by Eileen. Todd’s mother was having drinking in the Rovers, when she brought up her son during a conversation with Fizz and Mary.
She admitted that she was disappointed that Todd never got in touch on Mother’s Day, as she believed all son’s had to reach out on that day to wish their mother’s happiness and wellbeing. However, Todd wasn’t in touch, and those closest to him are still none-the-wiser where Todd is.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Eileen Feeling Low
Eileen admitted that she was feeling low over the weekend as she didn’t hear from her son. Todd made his first appearance in the soap back in 2001, but was hastily written off future programming in 2017 after having personal legal problems.
He was last in the soap in 2017, as he fled the country after being embroiled in a storyline centring around the adoption of Summer. He and Billy were planning on adopting the teenager after her father passed away and pleaded with the couple to adopt her. However, the grandmother had other plans and wanted to adopt her.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Could A Return Be On The Cards?
Many fans immediately took to social media to admit that it seemed likely that a Todd return could be on the cards this year. However, any chance of that happening would seem incredibly slim due to the sexual assault charge that he pleaded guilty to in 2017.
The bosses at the soap would be reluctant to have him back on the cobbles, and it would likely stir up trouble with the other actors and actresses at the soap. Fans should take his mention with a pinch of salt, and a return for Jason would be more likely than a Todd return.
