It would be a devastating turn of events for Daniel, who has already had to deal with so much over the past 12 months.
Daniel has managed to come through the difficult period, but the recent spoilers could prove too much for the troubled character. He has already needed to say goodbye to his wife Sinead Tinker after she passed away following a battle with cancer, and this later development could tip him over the edge. But, will Daniel be able to come through it with support around him?

Bertie has already had a hard life, as he was born premature, and was kept in hospital for a number of months after. Sinead decided to have the baby despite doctors warning that having the baby would have an impact on her life. Deciding to have the baby meant that Sinead needed to put of therapy for cancer, but she was determined to have her son and Daniel reluctantly agreed that having the baby was the right plan.
However, since Sinead’s death, Daniel has struggled with being a single parent. Bertie has already been rushed into hospital this year after catching measles. Daniel didn’t go through with having injections for Bertie, and that decision also had implications for Maria Connor, who suffered a miscarriage.
ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Daniel Determined To See Nicky
Daniel has been spending more time with Nicky over the past couple of weeks as he looks to get the intimacy that he craves. He opened up to the escort about his home life, and revealed that he was still in love with his wife. The night that he and Nicky spent together the first time seemed to have a positive effect on him, and he will be looking for that intimacy again next week.
Daniel will be desperately looking to find someone to look after Bertie, and it has been rumoured that his urgency could lead to a fatal error of judgement. He could leave Bertie alone while he visits Nicky after nobody is able to look after Nicky. Viewers will be hoping that Daniel will not be so naïve.
