With the passing of comedy legend Norm MacDonald, many of us were surprised to learn that he had cancer and had kept it a secret for as long as he did. Even some of his close friends had no idea he was sick and were as shocked as we were to hear the truth.
MacDonald passed earlier this month on September 14, 2021, from cancer and left an undeniable mark on the world with his unique comedy, unrivaled timing, and delivery.
While the world mourned, many of his friends commented on the fact that they had no idea he was sick, from Conan O’Brien, Adam Corolla, and Bill Burr to Jay Leno were all recorded saying, “I didn’t even know he was sick.”

The famous YouTube channel ‘I’m not Norm‘ that posts clips and montages of the comedian created and uploaded the video. Fans of Norm commented, saying, “Such a brilliant man. Making everyone say his punchline after he passed.”, “Norm’s ability to go in and out of reality like this is why he will forever be the best comic to have ever lived.”, “Making his fans laugh every time someone says this punchline when memorializing him is Norm’s final troll.”, “He made the sad thing people would be saying about him into a punchline. That’s really touching and nice and shows a lot of foresight a maturity facing what he was facing. I hope he had peace in his last days.” and “He made everyone say his joke with his death, can’t help but think it’s exactly what he planned. What a man I’ll miss you norm btw I did actually think you were sick.”
