Christine Quinn has opened up on the criticism she has received in the aftermath of giving birth to her son Christian.

The news was a huge relief ever since Christine had to undergo an emergency c-section in order to deliver the baby. Fans could be forgiven if they thought that was the end of Christine’s troubles. But it seems she has another challenge on her hands. The actress has received a mixed response to the swift manner in which she has returned to work.
During an interview with E! News Daily Pop, Christine said: “The mom-shamers are real, that’s for sure…’ I’ve gotten people who are like, “Oh, I’m so happy you’re getting back to work, that’s great! And then I have people who are like…who’s taking care of the baby?” The decision to return to work has been helped by Christine’s husband, Christian Richard.
The latter has taken a very hands-on approach to parenting and broken the traditional stereotypes of men going to work- while the mother looks after the baby. Although this has divided a certain subset of fans, Christine has not let it get to her.
She was grateful to have Christian by her side and has praised him for everything he has done. She added: “I’m like, Listen, my husband’s amazing. He’s home, the baby’s sleeping, what’s the difference? For me, I love to work.” This does not mean that Christine is not excited by her baby, far from it. We only have to look at her Instagram activity to see that.
In the picture here, we can see Christine with her husband as she is holding her son in her arms. She is picking up his hand and marvelling at how small he is. The post was captioned with the following comments: “Welcome, Baby C. I could not feel more in love, blessed, and grateful. Words can not express the joy of being a mommy.”
Regardless of the critics, Christine is focusing on making sure that her family are ok. It is great to see Christine staying strong in the face of such criticism and look may that continue.
